Kantha Gopalan was born in Maduranthakam, Chengalpattu District, in Tamilnadu, India. She was married to Mr. Gopalan, a dedicated Indian civil servant with strong ethical values. Kantha was blessed with three children, and successfully inculcated in them her values, drawn from various philosophies. She left many good memories with the people that she lived and interacted with, and is remembered as a positive thinker, a political activist, and a generous spirit for helping others.
This organization is dedicated to her memory, with the goal of raising funds to help organizations with similar ideologies. Kantha.org was created today, July 15 2011, with the vision of fostering community values and strong ethical foundations.
